The People

Jonathan Rowley

the laid back webmaster and people connector

Age: 41 Cheshire based married with two children.

Career: Microsoft UK - Business Solutions.

Hobbies: Cycling, PCs, Land Rovers and Technology, Music - Piano, Gadgets.

Why I am I doing it? I started serious cycling after a skiing accident in March 2002 when I snapped my knee ligaments, it was a great way to recover and ever since I've used it mainly as a aide to helping cure middle aged spread. It works for me and I love the technology and equipment side of things and have been gradually eeking up the mileage.

Paul Brice

mr motivator, maintenance specialist, the one who enjoys big hills, uphill pacemaker.

Age: 45 Cheshire based married with three children.

Career: Honeywell UK - Advanced Process Solutions

Hobbies: Cycling, DIY.

Why am I doing it ? This ride is obviously one for personal achievements, to prove and celebrate our health and capability while we still can !.  Setting up a charity and request for you to sponsor us is a recognition that beyond our personal (selfish) reasons for this challenge, we want to give something back to children and families who are really suffering through terminal poor health and sickness.

Reuben Krippner

flats pace maker and wind break

Age: 34 (mental age 12)

Career: Microsoft UK - CRM Technology Specialist

Hobbies: All sports but especially love rugby, triathlon, football, music, Liverpool FC.

Why I am I doing it? It has all the elements I'm looking for: teamwork, very worthy charitable cause, physical & mental challenge and the sense of achievement when we cross the line will be immense! There are so many beautiful areas of the UK; to be able see those on a bike is a brilliant opportunity!

30th July 2007 - We did it - 905 miles completed 28th July in 8 days and 4 hours. Read the blog, see the pics, get that sponsorship in before it closes at the end of September 2007.
