Tracking

July 2007 - Recent announcements from SportsDo now bring home the reality of posting last known location to the site with real time updates. Just got to figure out how to link it all together. We've also set up a Microsoft Blog / Live space which should mean we can update this en-route should all technology bar the internet fail us. Meanwhile Paul and Reuben have invested in the most sophisticated Garmin GPS / Bike Computers which seem very snazzy. Click here to track us in realtime along the route

March 2007 - Well I think I've cracked it! Using a combination of software on a Windows phone as predicted, a Bluetooth GPS and an online service from SportsDo. I'll post more detail here for those technos reading this....

Using a Windows SPV Smartphone and the SportsDo software allows full biometrics and routing to be captured and then uploaded online for real-time display and full 3 maps like this one for a recent training run.

It also captures speed and height and plots them...

This should enable family and friends to follow us online and track progress. I just need to figure out how to link it to this site...? March 2007
